Do you haggle or bargain with dealers for used cars?

I’m looking at getting my first car and I know you bargain with associates with new cars, but do people do it when buying a used car? How could I?

a resounding yes. there are no two used cars exactly alike ,different condition,mileage equipment, therefore the used dealer knows you can’t shop his price at other dealers so he tries to knock a home run with every deal,prepare yourself with facts and figures from other newspaper ads,Edmunds .com and the like to be as equipped as possible,don’t be afraid to walk away if you think the deal isn’t right,shop some more and go back if you choose to,but bargain hard.

    depends where you are in the world. but my opinion is you should haggle for everything, the more it costs the more you haggle and used cars a one of the best things to haggle for!

    if it costs 1000 they will probably accept 850 so offer 750

    Aw yeah, There is more room to negotiate on a use car
    STEPS
    Find a car you want
    Go to your bank or better open an account at a Credit Union and wait 3 weeks & start step 1
    Tell them what type of car and ask what will they loan on the car
    Now you have a budget to negotiate with
    inform the sales person you "have your own financing in place" nothing more is to be said about it,,,they will ask because the ball is in your court.

    Works the same way, Educate yourself to the value. Negotiate in person with cash and be ready to walk away.
